Movie Review “Legion”

SPOILER ALERT: IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH THE MOVIE YET AND NO MATTER WHAT, YOU WILL WATCH IT. BETTER SKIP THIS REVIEW. COME BACK AFTER THE MOVIE, I WILL HAVE A BIG “TOLD YOU!” WAITING FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF WATCHING AND WILL LIKE TO MAKE SURE YOUR TIME AND MONEY IS WELL SPENT READ THIS REVIEW AND DECIDE YOUSELF.

This weekend I manage to squeeze some time to go to the cinema. Without much idea what to watch I decide to pick the one which will start first. The movie I watch is “LEGION“. With absolutely no knowledge of the movie, I can only rely on my sense to guess the movie as I go. By looking at the poster I saw an angel and at first few scene I guess I saw an angel hence I was expecting it will be a “Angel fighting Demon” or “Angel fighting Angel” movie… yet that is just the start of my 2 hours nightmare.

At first few scene it give me a feeling it is a big production movie with lots of budget and a well thought plot. Yet 7 or 8 minute into the movie I am already kinda of lost. Then the movie went into the crap hole when the scene moved to the no body care dinner in the middle of no where. However I still try to be open minded until I see the first Zombie/Demon… then I knew the movie is going to be crap all the way. Yet it is not until the Angel in the first scene finally appear again and say his mission is to make sure the baby will be born! btw he is not an angel anymore given he have no wings… when the baby is born then he say, the baby need to grow up. Then after a while more he then say the baby should not even be born… after series of shooting zombie/demon scene we finally come to the finale. Real Angel vs. No Wing Angel, the fighting scene is lame. Now using modern firearm to kill Zombie/Demon which is possessed by Angel is already kind of bull shit. Yet given they are once human I can still accept that logic. Now Angels which is suppose to be somewhat a GOD is vulnerable to modern human firearm? I can’t accept that. Now why will I say they are vulnerable to modern firearm given he was finally kill with a sword. First the ex-angel Michael attempt to fight Gabriel with 2 machine guns. Now given you are an ex-angel you should know pretty well what is effective on yourself. Will you fight another person with an ice cream cone? NO you won’t because you know it will not be effective. The only reason you will is you know is effective right? Apparently Angel are no only vulnerable to bullets, it is also vulnerable to fire and explosion. Seriously in the mind of Director: Scott Stewart, Angel are pretty much useless mythical creature. Anyway let get this review done… at the final scene Michael who was suppose to be kill came back to life and kill Gabriel. The whole movie is really bad… it is probably on par with Dragonball Z Evolution.

To SUM up this pile of crap:

• It is a positive reinforcement to unmarried, single mother do not take abortion because your baby could be Jesus Christ
• Angels are just well train human fighter with metallic wings
• When a human is possessed by Angel, they become somewhat Demon/Zombie like the one you see in The Exorcist.
• If Angel can be kill with machine guns and even when God decide to wipe earth clean he send 2 angels. One can only assume he does not have lots of angels and they are all vulnerable to modern arsenal. Which if I follow this logic, Heaven is pretty weak a nuke should handle it.
• God is not in control. If God as people say is always in control then the baby can never be born, the angel can never betray. This movie is all about God is no in any control of anything.
• God’s angel will use kids and old people as a bait to kill people
